Culture of Care |
Kinder Prep is learning how to care for the space around them. They are serving our immediate community by picking up trash wherever they see it. |

Building Community |
Kindergarten is eager to connect with other students in an effort to develop social and emotional skills through playing board games, art projects, and other interactive activities. |
First Grade |
Connecting With Our Seniors |
Bridging the gap between generations can be a challenge. Our first grade class is making strides to connect with our seniors by singing songs, playing games, and reading with them. |
Second Grade |
Increasing Literacy in Our Community |
Second grade has made admirable strides to increase literacy in our immediate community. They visited the local library to obtain library cards, have plans to read to our neighbors at the Child Development Center, and build another Little Free Library. |
Third Grade |
Connecting with our Veterans |
In October, our third graders partnered with Operation Gratitude to provide over 300 pounds of candy to our dedicated men and women in the service. Soon they will connect with other organizations that serve veterans, like the VA of Menlo Park. |
Fourth Grade |
Recycling and Waste Management |
Fourth Grade is learning about the dangers unfiltered waste is having on our environment. They are maintaining our school’s recycling program and educating other students about which bins to discard their waste in. |
Fifth Grade |
Protecting Our Oceans |
After hearing a presentation about the dangers of waste, 5th Grade has joined Heirs to Our Ocean to become ambassadors who teach our community about the dangers of single use plastics and benefits using sustainable products like straws, water bottles, and cutlery. |
Sixth Grade |
Preserving the Bay |
Sixth graders are learning how to rebuild ecosystems in the bay lands. |
Seventh/Eight Grade |
Assisting the Impoverished |
Seventh graders are working with local organizations like Ecumenical Hunger Program, to feed and provide necessary goods to the less fortunate. This Winter, they ran a successful coat drive for LifeMoves that resulted in over 70 coats and sweaters. |
Eighth Grade |
Bridging the Achievement Gap |
Our leaders on campus are analyzing data that detail the academic discrepancies in our area with the goal of developing solutions to bridge the achievement gap. |

Serving Others |
Kinder Prep has chosen to highlight a member of our community, Rose Bickerstaff, to serve. Together, they will be fostering a relationship that connects our youngest citizens with our more seasoned citizens. |

Spreading Cheer |
Third graders hope to partner with our local children’s hospital to provide games, school supplies, cards and other items that will lift the spirits of those children affected by illness. |

Care for Animals |
After taking weeks of classes with ladies from the Palo Alto Humane Society, our fifth graders have cultivated a greater sense of empathy for animals. |
Sixth Grade |
Earthquake Preparedness |
Sixth graders are busy learning about the formation of earthquakes and their devastating effects. To serve our community, they are learning ways to better stay safe: where to go, what to items to have on hand, etc. |
Seventh/Eight Grade |
Assisting the Impoverished |
